The Industrial Internet of Things research group (IIoT) at the University of West London is hosting this year’s IEEE WIE 2023 Challenges and Opportunities event, organised by the IEEE Women in Engineering UK&I Affinity Group - Early Profession programme. Early Career Talks aim to expose the participants to novel areas and aspect of engineering in solving real world problems as well as to establish a link for networking, mentorship and to create a connection for research opportunities.

The session will explore the role of women in shaping inclusive smart cities and how we can empower individuals to actively participate in the decision-making processes.  The event will also host a women empowerment panel discussion on “Women’s Role in Shaping Inclusive Smart Cities".
