Call for Officer Nominations | UK and Ireland Power Electronics Society Chapter

The UK and Ireland Section Chapter of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) is calling for nominations for the following five officer positions to be appointed by Chapter OpCom, due 31 July 2024:

  1. Conference and Event Officer: Coordinates events and awards ceremonies within the chapter, ensuring successful outcomes.
  2. Liaison: Acts as a bridge between the chapter and other chapters, societies and external stakeholders or organizations.
  3. Professional Activities Officer: Facilitates industry-related activities, initiatives, and networking opportunities for members.
  4. Public Relations Officer: Manages publicity and media relations for the chapter, overseeing the promotion of events, activities, and achievements through various channels to enhance visibility and engagement.
  5. Students and Young Professional Representative: Represents the interests and concerns of future experts and student branch chapters within the section, advocating for their needs and voices.

Please submit your application to the chapter secretary via email chenj111@cardiff.ac.uk by 31 July 2024. Please include your short CV (2-page at maximum) and your expression of interest (EOI) of no less than 250 words to describe a tangible plan on how to contribute to the chapter and society in the upcoming volunteering role.
