UK and Ireland Annual Christmas Lectures

The IEEE UK and Ireland Section Christmas Lecture has become a traditional fixture in the festive calendar over the last few years.

Located at the iconic Regent Street Cinema at the University of Westminster, distinguished guests have included Dr Hayaatun Sillem, CBE, CEO of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Dr Peter Bonfield President of the IET and Professor Jose Mora, President of IEEE, amongst others.

The IEEE UK and Ireland Section was honoured to have IEEE President, José M. F. Moura and IET President, Peter William Bonfield as speakers at the 2019 Christmas Lecture. Professor Moura spoke on “Data (Big), Computing (Fast), and Algorithms (Learning) – The New Opportunities for a Bright Future” and Dr Bonfield, “Perspectives on Engineering and Technology for the Future”.
