IEEE SSIT Lecture | Insights and Lessons Learnt from ‘Inclusive Multi-sensor Platform for Autistic Children that Encourages Social Interaction’ SIGHT Project by Eduardo Audiche

IEEE UK and Ireland SSIT Chapter and SSIT IST-Africa SIGHT are cooperating to organise this SSIT Lecture as a joint webinar.

IEEE and SSIT Members as well as non-IEEE Members are invited to register and participate. IEEE Members should include their IEEE membership number when registering.

This joint meeting will take place online. Registered participants will be provided with the link prior to the event.

The project ‘Inclusive multi-sensor platform for autistic children that encourages social interaction’ was successfully completed in August 2021 by UK and Ireland SIGHT Group. This presentation shares project results alongside providing insight into how challenges related to project planning, proposal submission to IEEE HAC, stakeholders management, project execution and project monitoring were addressed.

The presentation also provides an insight into the impact and sustainability of project outcomes and the societal implications of using technological solutions with vulnerable children. The potential for replicating or scaling the project outcomes will be discussed.
