Calling all IEEE Student Members | Nominations for IEEE Student Awards Open Now!

The nominations for IEEE Student Awards are now open! Submit your nominations by the deadline of 31st March 2024 and be rewarded for all your outstanding work this past year!

An IEEE Student Branch is a significant commitment, requiring the effort and diligence of volunteers. To reward this positive contribution, IEEE Student Activities honours several student branch awards annually to recognise branch volunteers and activities.

We would therefore encourage you to nominate and participate in the following:

This award is to provide recognition of exemplary IEEE Student Branch operations, presented annually to each qualifying student branch in each region without limit. To qualify, a student branch must conform to IEEE bylaws, in addition to meeting a number of criteria (5 mandatory and a further 12 out of a possible 32 required), detailed in the award documentation. This is a prestigious award to affirm the branch within your university and IEEE section, and a valuable asset to both growing and established student branches.

Be sure to read our Region 8 SAC Student Branch Vitality Guide before submitting in order to prepare your documentation and stand the greatest chance of being awarded!

Applicants for the Exemplary Student Branch Award will also be considered for the Region 8 Student Branch of the Year Award.

This award is to recognize in each region, one student member most responsible for an extraordinary accomplishment associated with student activities. The award is designed to recognise a particular volunteer for outstanding accomplishments at a Student Branch, Section or Regional level. The prize consists of a customised award plaque, a digital certificate, and three years of complimentary membership of IEEE. If your team has an outstanding volunteer who you feel should be recognised, then do submit an application.

This award aims to recognise dedicated efforts of branch counsellors and branch chapter advisors, which exemplify the commitment of the institution to the educational, personal, professional, and technical development of students. The prize is a cash award to the top outstanding advisors and counsellors around the world. If your branch counsellor or advisor has surpassed expectations this year then consider nominating for this award.

This award aims to recognise the top four (platinum, gold, silver, and bronze) value-driven exemplary organised student activities around the world, targeted at improving student membership growth. The award will be given to those student branch teams which improve the quality of activities and which foster knowledge sharing among students. The prize consists of a digital certificate (gold / silver / bronze). Platinum category winners will receive an award plaque.

To nominate for the above awards, please visit the IEEE Awards Portal by the nomination deadline of 31st March 2024.
