Dear technology professionals, researchers, educators and industry practitioners,
IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organisation present and active in 160 countries and possessing expertise in virtually all areas of electro-technology from computing and communications to power, energy, medical electronics and more through 39 technical societies. IEEE is also one of the leading global organisations in developing technology standards and publishing almost 1/3rd of global technology journals that support many industries and professions.
We believe that IEEE has much to offer students, researchers, educators, technology professionals and practitioners. Here at the UK & Ireland Section, we have embarked on an extensive and ambitious programme to develop new member benefits and value from educational material aimed at CPD and technology updates through online and face to face courses to webinars and other member benefits.
I look forward to building on the great advances that my predecessor Professor Ali Hessami has done during his term as Chair. We will be building on this in 2018 and 2019 with events, lectures and conferences organised by IEEE Society Chapters, Young Professionals, Women in Engineering and Student Groups in all parts of the UK & Ireland.
Please feel free to contact me and learn about how IEEE can assist you and play a key role in your professional and career development, technology awareness and competence.
