About the Speakers:
Dr Shourjya Sanyal is the co-founder and CEO of Think Biosolution, one of the top ten remote patient monitoring ODMs in the world. Shourjya has raised VC investments in US and EU, given TEDx talks and won multiple awards (Luminate in Rochester NY, Irish Laboratory Award 2018-19, Irish SME Business Awards 2018, Top 20 health and Medtech startup by Silicon Republic, Deloitte Top Technology Award 2016).
Shourjya is a Forbes correspondent and routinely writes about the impact of data-science on health care. Shourjya is a mentor and Irish representative of Faster Capital a Dubai based seed fund. Shourjya also taught Data Science in Digital Skills Global, a subsidiary of Boston College in Ireland. Shourjya has a Ph.D. in computational physics from University College Dublin.
Dr Chandana Fitzgerald leads thought leadership, research, content, operations and strategic growth for a global digital health platform, HealthXL.
Chandana is a medical doctor with work, research and educational experience across European, American and Asian markets. After a stint at intense hospital environments that ‘drained the juice out of her’, she has engaged extensively in leadership positions in the digital health space to bring innovations that bridge gaps in healthcare. She laid the foundations for a digital medical education solution serving doctors in Asia and Africa called DailyRounds that was recently acquired by Japanese M3. Through her work with senior leaders in hospitals, pharma, insurance, investment and start-ups in the healthcare space, Chandana has a wealth of knowledge on everything from evidence to regulation to business models in the digital health space. She has recently launched her Digital Health Podcast, and also writes thought leadership pieces regularly. She enjoys the interesting intersection between medicine, business and tech.
Dr Soumyabrata Dev is a Machine Learning Researcher at ADAPT Cente, Trinity College Dublin.
Soumyabrata obtained his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, in 2017. From Aug-Dec 2015, he was a visiting student at Audiovisual Communication Laboratory (LCAV), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.
Dr Friedrich Wetterling is the Senior Data Scientist at FIRE1 Foundry. a connected medical device solutions company dedicated to improving outcomes for people suffering with chronic diseases.
