Daniel W. O’Hagan is Head of the Passive Radar and Anti-Jamming Techniques Department (PSR) at Fraunhofer FHR. His department leads numerous research activities for the German Ministry of Defence, NATO and the European Defence Agency.

The PSR department is a recognised research-leader in the domain of Passive Radar on moving platforms including boats and aircraft. O’Hagan and his colleagues are extensively engaged in modern Electronic Warfare activities. Similarly they lead projects and international cooperations on Multi-Functional RF Systems (MFRFS) and also on the creation of GNSS-independent synchronisation techniques for radar networks – particularly on moving platforms.

Daniel is an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham, an Honorary Assoc. Prof. in Radar at the University of Cape Town (UCT). He is the former convenor of the UCT Radar Masters Course where he led numerous research projects including Passive Radar Jamming, HF Surface Wave Radar, 3-D printed antennas, and RFI mitigation. Daniel is the Chair of NATO SET-268, the former Chair of both SET-207 and SET-164.

In 2019 he received the NATO SET Panel Early-Stage Career Award.
