The Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics

The Hamlyn Symposium is an internationally leading conference for medical robotics. For academia and industry, engineers and clinicians, Hamlyn Symposium is a highlight of the medical robotics calendar. With a large programme of talks, specialist workshops, poster sessions, networking and exhibitions, it offers something for everyone involved in researching, developing and using medical robotics. The conference attracts a wide spectrum of participants from PhD students, postdocs, lecturers, professors, industrial partners, medics to pioneers of the field and CEOs.

One of the key events is the Surgical Robot Challenge 2018 which will see leading research groups from around the world, bringing their surgical robots to London to perform live demonstrations of their latest innovations. This will be a compelling contest that demonstrates the very latest medical robotics research in a format that can inspire innovation and encourage collaboration.

New for this year at the Hamlyn Symposium, an exclusive CEO and Founders Forum will be held on June 26th from 2-3.30pm at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The forum will feature six CEOs and Founders of some of the world’s most prominent medical robotics companies.

In addition to the CEO and Founders Forum and a full programme of interactive workshops, the 11th Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Electronics offers a two-day main conference with invited keynote speakers, paper authors and delegates from leading medical, science and technology institutions covering topics including clinical specialities in Urology, Cardiac Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Orthopaedic and Paediatric Surgery.  This year’s programme of Hamlyn Symposium workshops will explore:
